Marlow International Regatta, held at Eton Dorney Lake, took place on Saturday 19th June. The Senior Men's 1st VIII went down and raced in the Tier 2 8s category, a combined category of not just university 8s this year, but school and club boats too.
This was the first multi-lane race for a lot of the crew due to Covid-19, but they performed and held their composure impeccably and we are excited for our racing at BUCS.
A strong, relaxed performance in the time trial landed the boys with a time of 6:04.9, placing them in the D final. A solid, quick start in the final, followed by some close side-by-side racing through to the end of the race saw the men place a respectable 6th.
