ABOUT

Facilities

Our training is centred around Damflask Reservoir, located just outside Sheffield and on the edge of the Peak District. Surrounded by some of the region's best scenery, the reservoir provides the setting for our water sessions throughout the year.

Alongside our on-water training, club members have access to land-training facilities through the University of Sheffield, supporting strength, conditioning and indoor rowing sessions.

Together, these facilities give our athletes the space to train both on and off the water throughout the season.

Damflask

We row on Damflask Reservoir, a beautiful stretch of water in the Peak District. Located approximately 3 miles west of the city, Damflask is also home to Sheffield Hallam University Rowing Club & City of Sheffield Rowing Club.

During winter the water level of the dam drops, therefore the rowable length of the dam is around 1.5km, while over the summer it fills up, allowing us to row for a stretch of 2.5km.

Boat House

At Damflask we also have our boat house that we share with City of Sheffield Rowing Club and Sheffield Hallam University Rowing Club.
