Members of the SURC Alumni came together for the annual evening dinner late last month. There was plenty of alumni catching up with old friends, and different generations of alumni getting to know each other, discussing their time at SURC and what the future holds for the club.
The evening also saw the launch of The Early History of SURC, a book including archives and a wealth of information about the club and its early years, compiled by alumnus Mike Thompson.
The evening dinner was followed by a morning of rowing and battle paddling between two eights, and a breakfast by the waterside.
The alumni section of the website will soon go live, which will enable former members of SURC to stay in contact, and get involved with events. The club would like to thank all who came to the weekend, and we look forward to bringing the alumni together again next year.
