The boathouses shared between the three rowing clubs at Damflask Reservoir are very outdated; there is no mains electricity, one toilet between 250+ rowers and the boathouses are made with asbestos. The time has come for a new boathouse to be built to enable more rowing in Sheffield, not only at a high, national level, but for beginners, juniors and to be a hub for the community.
City of Sheffield Rowing Club, as the lease holders, are heading up the fundraising efforts to build a new boathouse at Damflask. Planning permission has already been obtained, and now all efforts are going into fundraising to start the building work.
This week the Sheffield Rowing Clubs launched a JustGiving page to kick start fundraising towards the new boathouse. If you are interested in donating to the cause or would like more information, please follow the link below to the JustGiving page. We will be actively fundraising soon, so watch this space!
Thank you in advance for any donations.
