Our Senior Women came out fighting for the first race of the season. the squad showed an excellent attitude during pre-season and their lasting commitment paid dividends as they were able to finish 1st and 4th in the Band 2 Women’s Eights. Most notably, the ladies manged to pip a very experienced Royal Chester Crew to the line by 3 seconds which demonstrates the scale of the progress made this year. We hope to continue this winning trend as we move towards White Rose Head in December.
Senior men sent two coxless 4s to Dee head this year where they placed second and third in challenging conditions. Due to bad conditions in the previous week and equipment failures the two crews had minimal time practice but did well in spite of this
